Typhoon attack

The typhoon no.15th attacked Tokyo yesterday 2011-9-21.
More than 30m/s wind was recorded in my QTH Machida-city, south east of TOKYO.
My 7MHz HB9CV anttena had been damaged on its reflector elemnt.

My garded also became messy.

Above kiwi-fruits tree shelf has been crashed down by a solar panel that has been smashed out from roof-top. Terrible...

Hi Bas Thanks for your concern.
Fortunately SWR of Antennas seems OK.
So I can QRV anyway but I'd like to fix the ugry inclined element as soon as possible.

Hi, Atsu - very sorry to hear of the damage, but glad no injuries. Carole and I very much enjoyed our time in your garden!

Looks like your 40M beam might now be able to do circular polarization! Perhaps you should try 40M EME moonbounce mode...

Hi John!
Pleased to hear that you and Carole have been fine there.
OK, I will aim rising moon since my antenna has no elevation angle rotator. :-)

We are lucky - no typhoons this far south in 9V. On the other hand we have terrible lightning, which you know all about.

PS I have been in touch with Nao-san and we are making plans to go to Tokyo and Kobe next March.... that's the plan anyway !
